What is Energy Medicine Yoga?
Ancient healing meets modern life.
Energy Medicine Yoga® (EMYoga) blends the time-honored tradition of yoga with the powerful healing techniques of Energy Medicine, founded by Lauren Walker and inspired by the work of Donna Eden.
This practice works with the body’s nine energy systems — including the meridians, chakras, and aura — to restore balance, build resilience, and support natural healing. Through breath, movement, and mindful techniques like tapping, tracing, and acupressure holds, EMYoga helps you:
~ Reduce stress and anxiety
~ Boost vitality and immunity
~ Improve flexibility, strength, and balance
~ Deepen your mind-body connection joy.
Sunny brings these practices to life in a way that’s accessible, adaptable, and infused with joy.

SUNNY HOWLAND
About Sunny
- A life lived in sunshine and service.
- Sunny Howland has been practicing yoga since 1975, but her passion for wellness began long before she ever stepped onto a mat. Growing up in Southern California, she found joy by the ocean — sun on her skin, feet in the waves, and a deep connection to nature.
- A lifelong peacemaker, mother, grandmother, gardener, and community-builder, Sunny believes in meeting people exactly where they are. Her journey led her from decades in administrative roles to a new chapter — becoming a certified yoga teacher and Energy Medicine Yoga® practitioner in her 70s.
- Sunny’s mission is simple:
- ~ Help people reconnect with their own energy
- ~ Encourage healing from the inside out
- ~ Create spaces where community and compassion thrive.
- She lives in a 120-year-old farmhouse in Austin, CO with her partner, Bob, and two cats, Petey & Creme, tending fruit trees, growing flowers, and always finding ways to bring people together.
